What should I do if my student is absent?
-
We’re concerned for your students when we don’t see them. If you know your child will be absent, or is home sick from school, please call us at the 24-hour office line at (360) 264-3600. An absence note is must! Otherwise, we record your student's absence as "unexcused."

What if my student is tardy?
-
We encourage promptness since tardies affect everyone and disrupt classroom time. Students late for first period must report to the office for a "tardy slip." Please keep in mind that a referral is issued for every three tardies.

Does Tenino provide busing?
-
Yes, we certainly do. Parents, please remind your children that riding the bus is a privilege and that we require their best behavior at all times. Students must ride home on their designated bus. If, for some reason, a student wants to ride home with a friend or needs to go home on a different bus, you must send a note to the main office before the school day starts. The note must include the student’s name, the bus number, and the name and address of the new destination. Direct all busing inquiries to First Student at 264-4948.

Does the school provide breakfast and lunch?
-
We sure do! We have a breakfast and hot lunch program for all students. We encourage students to buy meal tickets ahead of time in quantities of five (5) or twenty (20) meals. Of course, we allow students to bring their own lunch to school if they wish, but we require that students eat all food (even from the cafeteria) in the designated area. View our current menu to find out what's for lunch!

What if my child forgets his/her lunch or runs out of lunch tickets?

My child needs to take medication daily. How will you make sure he/she will receive it?
-
Please label all prescription medications and keep them in the health office. Only our school nurse will hand out medicine to a student and the medicine must be in the original container. Prescription drugs must be prescribed by a doctor and have documentation telling how much and how often the student must take the medicine. Please be sure to contact the health office ahead of time if you want your child taking over-the-counter medicines, too. These also require documentation.
